The luminous intensity is the luminous flux emitted by a point source inside a solid angle of a steradian, the unit is candela (cd).
The candela (cd)
The candela is the luminous intensity, in a given direction of a source that emits monochromatic radiation of wavelength 555 nm (frequency 540x10 to the12th Hz) and that has a radiant intensity in that direction of 1/683 Watt per steradian.
